How does 4D HYPE fight the dissemination of terrorist Contributions?

4D HYPE has zero tolerance for the dissemination of terrorist Contributions on our platform. When we become aware of these Contributions, we remove it and take appropriate action against the account that posted it. We employ various tools to detect and remove terrorist Contributions, and we are committed to continuously evolving our detection abilities.

4D HYPE Terms of Use explicitly prohibits Contributions that glorifies, incites or calls for violence or physical harm, including Contributions that promotes or supports the activities of terrorists or proscribed terrorist organizations. The type of Contributions that could violate our Terms of Use in reference to dissemination of terrorist Contributions includes: propaganda material posted by terrorists or designated terrorist organizations and their supporters, expressions of affiliation or support for terrorists or designated terrorist organizations, glorification of terrorist acts and Contributions that solicits or incites a person or group to participate, commit, or contribute to terrorist activities. We prohibit Contributions directing a terrorist organisation or offering training for terrorism which may include but is not limited to providing weapons training and inviting another to receive weapons training (in reference to all the aforementioned prohibitions, we also prohibit Contributions attempting, conspiring, encouraging, assisting, or aiding and abetting the commission and/or facilitation of these).

Here's a non-exhaustive list of examples of terrorist Contributions:

  • inviting support for a proscribed organisation
  • expressing an opinion or belief supportive of a proscribed organisation
  • arranging a meeting supportive of a proscribed organisation
  • publishing an image of uniform of proscribed organisation
  • terrorist fund-raising
  • involvement in terrorist funding arrangements
  • laundering of terrorist property
  • collection of information likely to be of use to a terrorist
  • publishing information about members of the armed forces etc.
  • inciting terrorism outside the United Kingdom
  • encouragement of terrorism
  • dissemination of terrorist publications
  • preparation of terrorist acts

How does 4D HYPE identify potential terrorist Contributions?

4D HYPE utilizes a combination of automated technologies, user/community reports, and internal escalation processes to identify or flag potential terrorist Contributions on our platform.

  • We use automated Contribution moderation tools to detect potentially visual and text-based terrorist Contributions to be escalated for review.
  • We review reports and complaints from 4D HYPE users submitted via our report forms.
  • We have dedicated reporting channels by which users can notify us of any potential terrorist Contributions or threats of violence on the platform.
  • Our dedicated reporting channels allow us to receive and promptly address reports from government officials and law enforcement agencies related to proscribed terrorist Contributions and other potential terrorist Contributions.   • We also work with non-government organizations with expertise in identifying designated terrorist Contributions to identify and remove any such Contributions from the platform.

What happens when 4D HYPE identifies terrorist Contributions?

4D HYPE removes terrorist Contributions from the platform and takes appropriate action against the account that posted the Contributions. Additionally, we use internal hashing technology to create a unique digital fingerprint (or "hash") of the terrorist Contributions, this helps is to automatically prevent these Contributions from being shared and published again on the platform.

4D HYPE may also keep terrorist Contributions and related user data in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

What can 4D HYPE users do to help?

The community is integral to our efforts to keep 4D HYPE safe. As described above, the posting or sharing of terrorist Contributions on our platform is strictly prohibited under our Terms of Use, users may report potential terrorist Contributions via the following methods:

If you are logged in to your 4D HYPE account, you can submit a report for any Contributions that contain or may violate these prohibitions. To submit a report directly from a Contributions page, click ‘Make report’, from the ‘Send report’ box select ‘This is abusive or harassing and then select “It threatens violence or physical harm’ from the available report types.

If you don't have a 4D HYPE account, you can always submit a report here by selecting ‘Report Content Policy Violation’ from the drop down list under the ‘What do you need assistance with?‘ and then selecting ‘?’ from the drop down list under ‘Policy Violation: *’.
